They carry traditional oxfords and formal evening shirts ($110 to $199) in almost every shade imaginable, like a pink classic stripped shirt or a blue microcheck non-iron fit. Lively-colored ties abound to complement the bridal party, from bright gold skinny ties ($85) to pale purple handmade wovens ($99).

D&G caters to the svelte and stylish. Their blazers ($650 to $950) are super-skinny, and the pants ($275 to $395) even skinnier. Suits range from $825 to $1,100.

Dolce & Gabbana

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana offer sleek, au courant men’s garb for any mood, from tailored suits to a traditional three-button tux ($1,200 to $2,100). The Italian sartorial cut will ensure that the suit’s lifetime (and style) surpasses a couple’s golden anniversary.

Duncan Quinn

8 Spring St., nr. Elizabeth St.; 212-226-7030; duncanquinn.com

Rock and roll meets Savile Row at this shop, where it’s easy to find something to please the man who likes his style to have a little edge. Choose something from the ready-to-wear selection (suits from $1,950) or get a bespoke suit and tie (from $3,250).

This no-frills store has tuxedos from major designers at some of the lowest prices around. A worsted wool Perry Ellis tuxedo is $329 ($130 to rent); prices top out at $800. Formal shoes, cuff links, and all styles of cummerbund and vest will complete whatever choice the groom makes. They offer same-day alterations, perfect for those procrastinators out there.

A fourth-generation family business headquartered in Milan, Ermenegildo Zegna offers impeccably tailored menswear. The sartorial collection includes a single-button, three-button, or double-breasted six-button option. For $1,900 to $3,700, grooms can expect a suit or tuxedo cut to their tastes.

Etro

720 Madison Ave., nr. 63rd St.; 212-317-9096; etro.it

English classics with a swank Italian twist are popular among the Upper East Siders who swear by Etro’s bold prints. Their suits are no exception. The wool plaid suit (around $1,500), striped shirts (from $275), and jazzy ties ($125) are sure hits.

Giorgio Armani

760 Madison Ave., at 65th St.; 212-988-9191; giorgioarmani.com

The man who invented power dressing has continued to design suits (about $2,500) and ties ($115 to $135); his well-cut tuxedos range from $2,500 to $3,800.
