Jes Gordon got her start designing flowers for movies like Sabrina and Interview With a Vampire, and has charmed everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Anne Rice with her extravagant, eclectic parties that she calls "proper fun."  The firm has two divisions: design, which creates the environment for anything from a dream wedding to a product launch party (they did the Target launch in Brooklyn), and planning, which offers full-service production to guide you through any event.  Prices are based on an initial consultation, but are usually 10 percent of the total budget.

Her style ranges from monochromatic to feng shui–inspired. Gordon does extensive interviews with couples—and often visits their homes—to get the aesthetic right. Because of this, couples should book at least two months in advance. Bridal bouquets start at $250; centerpieces at $275.
