Despite the name, this hotel isn’t located all that close to its namesake bridge. At best, its generic brick-and-stucco exterior (and well-kept patio) make it stand out from the surrounding graffiti-laden warehouses. Once inside, visitors looking for an affordable alternative to Manhattan hotel rates will be pleased to find a clean, cozy spot with amenities like Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center, and a free daily continental breakfast. But while each room’s beige walls and muted-green comforters are accompanied by a coffeemaker and hair dryer, there is little space to do much besides make coffee or dry hair. So why stay inside? It’s a short walk to the Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street subway stop, which serves more than a half-dozen lines. Better yet, the 24-hour concierge service will recommend restaurants and shops in nearby Cobble Hill and Park Slope.
ProsParking in the back makes it an easy stop for road-trippers and visitors renting cars. Plus, it is located within a mile radius of worthwhile attractions like the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Prospect Park, and the Brooklyn Museum.
Cons
The rooms are small, and the off-the-beaten path location is not ideal for visitors who want to be right in the thick of the action.
