Profile
Can a brow wax really mimic a mini-facelift? Yes, promises Robin Evans, who works her chic magic out of a modern, two-treatment-room Soho studio. Brow waxing and shaping, as well as full-body waxing, are popular services here, along with make-up applications and brow and eyelash tinting. Despite her brow renown, Evans’ passion is facials. She’s developed four types of skin treatments over 15 years in the business: antioxidant, clinical acne, refining and a dermal peel series. Evans also offers dietary guidance and recommends supplements for clients with problem skin. The studio’s all-white space (down to the pale calla lilies) draws attention to the bright blue bottles and jars of the all-natural, antioxidant-rich Astara skincare line. MAC brushes and eye shadows, perfect for highlighting the brow work, are also available. Evans’ personal style matches her sleek space, but she shuns the standard white coat for chic coal-black.

While the rest of the city scurries up and down Broadway, these three micro–shopping districts remain blissfully unpicked-over.
