With its Eames chairs, white flagstone walls and African masks, Sugar goes for a chic, Brady Bunch-meets-tiki-lounge look—though the hip-hop on the sound system clashes with the décor. Down a flight of stairs lies a more intimate, parquet-walled lounge with brown leather banquettes and a smaller service bar. On Thursday nights at this comedy venue, $7 gets you no less than four shows, pizza is free, and beer is a buck.
