Profile

This venue is closed.

The Cock moved from its low-ceilinged, sardine-can room in summer of 2005 and now inhabits what was formerly the aptly-named gay and punk hangout The Hole. Despite the new space, it retains its penchant for irony-laced depravity. A young and young-acting crowd swells appropriately for a variety of theme nights: Tuesday's Cock & Soul party features funk-minded DJs and $2 margaritas. Sister establishment Fat Cock offers less hectic variations on similar themes, but this is the souped-up, freaked-out flagship-- an institution since it opened in the late '90s.

I spent Saturday night, the eve of the Pride parade at The Cock and I had a wonderful time. The place was really rocking, the people were very friendly, and everybody let it all hang out. I will definitley return.
